Many apparel companies may choose international terms of sale based on various factors such as costs, seller options or perceived ease of transaction. In order to get a grasp of First Sale and Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) Sale for better business strategy, the Hong Kong Intimate Apparel Industries' Association (HKIAIA) has co-organized a webinar with Hong Kong Institution of Textile and Apparel (HKITA), Hong Kong Knitwear Exporters & Manufacturers Association (HKKEMA), Hong Kong Woollen Knitting Manufacturers' Association Limited (HKWSKMA), Knitwear Innovation and Design Society (KIDS) and Sustainable Fashion Business Consortium (SFBC), which invites Mr. Roy Delbyck, Law Offices of Roy Ian Delbyck, to share his remarks.

Being affected by the U.S. brands filing for Chapter 11 business bankruptcy, many industry players are now raising concerns in this market situation. HKIAIA has received an overwhelming response for the webinar on Chapter 11 proceedings held on 14 August 2020. Considering that some members may be unable to join on 14 August, there is another round of webinar which we invited Mr. Edward Neiger, a managing partner of the law firm ASK LLP located in the U.S., to have an introductory session for members to understand the unsecured trade creditors in the U.S. bankruptcy proceedings.

In view of the fact that many industry players are now facing the issues of brands entering the Chapter 11 proceedings in the United States or similar application in other countries, HKIAIA has invited Mr. Roy Delbyck, Law Offices of Roy Ian Delbyck, to share his remarks about Chapter 11 proceedings in the US and some brief background on Voluntary Administration in Australia.
